Privacy Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain privacy policies and procedures tailored to the cybersecurity industry.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments and audits.
• Ensure compliance with global privacy laws (DPDP, DPDPA, GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
• Manage and respond to requests for data access, correction, deletion, and portability.
• Implement and streamline processes for handling data subject rights requests.
• Lead investigations and responses to data breaches, especially those related to cybersecurity threats.
• Report privacy incidents to regulatory authorities as required.
• Develop and deliver privacy training programs for employees, with a focus on cybersecurity implications.
• Promote a culture of privacy within the organization.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including IT, legal, HR, and marketing.
• Also act as Consent Manager where, draft and maintain consent-related policies and procedures.
• Monitor and update consent records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of consent management practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or related field.
• Professional certifications (CIPP, CIPM, CIPT) preferred.
• Experience in privacy, data protection, or a related field, preferably within cybersecurity. (Preferable)
• In-depth knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
